“Speaking as an evolved Transhuman, I applaud this very entertaining, intelligent, and thought provoking journey to the edges of humanity.”
Danny Rubin, author and screenwriter of Groundhog Day. “Immortality is a fine, tense, scientific mystery adventure that puts mankind in a challenge of survival with a short time limit. This is the way the world could end.”

Working with materials that are a thousandth the diameter of a human hair, nanotechnology can be used in a number of industries. What are the most promising nano projects in Russia? Will the development of nanotechnology help turn Russia into a hi-tech giant? Well be talking about it with Aleksandr Losyukov, the Deputy General Director for International Co-operation at the Russian Corporation of Nanotechnologies

Approximately 99 per cent of medicinal molecules don’t reach their targets and subsequently, stay in the body of the patient. As these molecules can sometimes be very toxic – particularly in the case of those designed to target cancers – research is being undertaken into more effective ways of safely transporting and delivering drugs. A challenge for nanotechnology in this research is to create a device which can carry a drug payload to it’s target, be monitored throughout it’s journey and deliver, without being attacked and destroyed by the body’s natural defences. This calls for something which possesses stealth design characteristics and a plausible device is described here in this movie. This is one of a selection of intriguing movies which are available for free download from the EPSRC Nanotechnology Image Library at : www.nanoscience.dept.shef.ac.uk You may also be interested in navigating to the “Soft Machines” site belonging to Professor Richard Jones – who features in this movie – for up-to-date discourse on all things nano. Over 1.1 billion people in the world don’t have access to clean drinking water. When I heard of a nanotech water purifier that can be used to purify water from even fecal matter contaminated sources, I couldn’t help but test it out the “uncultured” way. Thanks for getting this on the Digg.com Frontpage everyone! Hope this spreads the word about my project… The “Uncultured Project” is just a funny name for the journey I’ve started. It’s not a charity, organization, or anything formal like that …
